I’m Syed Alwee, a Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics graduate from Temasek Polytechnic with a strong interest in security, and building work that is both practical and meaningful.

My approach combines technical thinking with communication, adaptability, and a genuine interest in understanding people, which helps me work effectively across both technical and collaborative environments.

  • Supported large-scale SSOE2 laptop deployments for primary and secondary schools, handling imaging, provisioning, asset tagging, and on-site device handovers.
  • Configured Windows laptops (mainly Lenovo and HP) including BIOS setup, software installation, and readiness checks for classroom use.
  • Progressed from deployment member to Team Lead, coordinating daily tasks, guiding members, and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Liaised directly with ICT managers and school staff to manage deployment timelines, resolve issues, and provide on-site technical support.
  • Set up computer labs and mobile carts, and performed secure data sanitisation of old devices using Active KillDisk.

  • Gained hands-on experience with Tenable Nessus and Trend Micro TippingPoint, performing vulnerability assessments and intrusion prevention in a live environment.
  • Installed and managed Nessus agents, ran regular vulnerability scans, and reviewed reports to highlight critical security issues to senior members.
  • Monitored network traffic with TippingPoint, updated malware signatures, and analyzed security logs to detect and block suspicious activity.
  • Used Excel and Confluence to maintain project documentation, track milestones, and keep security and compliance records organised and accessible.

ITE Digitalisation Challenge

ITE College Central

Worked with a team to explore how technology could help families affected by the COVID-19 situation, especially those facing financial strain after losing reliable income.

With guidance from our lecturer, we developed a UiPath automation that searched online supermarkets for the cheapest option based on a selected ingredient, exported the results into Excel, and visualized the data in Power BI for easier comparison and decision-making.

Placed 2nd. Awarded the technology prize from UIPath.
